As a fashion designer from Waldorf, Maryland, my fashion career started as a young girl who used clothing as a way to feel authentically herself in a world where everyone followed the same trends. As a growing teen, I used fashion as motivation to wake up every morning and to convince myself that everyday is worth living. This lead me to design and learn to make my own clothes eventually furthering my education at Savannah College of Art and Design by perusing a Bachelor’s of Fine Art’s degree at SCAD’s school of fashion with a focus in Denim Wear .Moving Forward through my career, I aspire to work as a Ready-to-Wear designer for a well-known house before starting up my own company. This path will allow me to gain the skills and knowledge necessary for working in the industry before opening my own house.
